Conditionals contain 'if' or 'when' which refer to past present and future possibilities.
There are 2 clauses- the 'if' and the main clause and either can be first in a conditional sentence.
The main clause expresses the consequence and the 'if' clause contains the condition.
Zero conditional= if/when + present tense, present tense. (Facts)
First conditional= if + present simple, will. (Real future possibility once condition is satisfied)
Second conditional= if + past simple, would/could/might + base form. (hypothetical, unlikely to ever be true)
Third conditional= if + past perfect, would/could/might+have+past-participle.(hypothetical with psst result)
Mixed conditional= (commonly): if + past perfect, would + base form.
