Zouhaier just completed his 120-hour online TEFL certification. He enjoyed working closely with his tutor who guided him along the way. He also recommends this course to anyone wanting to teach abroad or enhance their professional portfolio in teaching.
Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.
In unit 2, I learned about all the different parts that make up a sentence. These are things I learned a long time ago and it is great to refresh my memory. It is a lot to take in and I feel it will be a challenge for non-English speaking people to learn. This unit talks about past tenses, and how they are used similarly to the forms used for present tenses. Both tenses have simple, continuous, perfect, and perfect continuous forms. There are verbs in english that have irregular past simple forms however. This was a good unit. I find that grammar is not taught as it ought to be in the Canadian school system. Many people that I know use incorrect grammar often. At the same time it is a difficult subject and I need to learn more of it to be able to teach it.
