TESOL Videos - TESOL TEFL Reviews - Video Testimonial - Marina
Marina from Moscow completed the 120-hour TEFL course with ITTT while on maternity leave. In her TEFL review she describes initially feeling apprehensive about studying online, Marina found this to be the best way to study for her in her situation. As a teacher of ten years, Marina did find some of the grammar units easier than expected for her but also found useful tips on teaching different skills. ITTT’s courses do not require trainees to have any previous teaching experience but those who have already been teaching for some time can still learn something new to help them develop their skills as an English teacher.
This is what one of our TEFL graduates feels he has gained from the course, or a part of it, and how he plans to put into action what he has learned.
This unit tacles about the pronunciation and phonology. It explains the following areas which are stress, rhythm, intonation, articulation and phonemic alphabet. It discussed about individual sounds, sounds in connected speech, stress within words, stress within utterances which affects the meaning of what is being said in the communication process or in the sentence. It is a helpful lesson because it gives an indication to those features in order to highlight them. It helps distiguish the real topic and I learned also the proper pronunciation methods of a word that gives an accuracy and clarity of communication.
