In this TEFL review, Belle describes how she had taught English before taking her course with ITTT but found that she did not enjoy the experience. She decided to take the course in order to get a better understanding of how to teach English. Belle found the course to be really useful and taught her ways of explaining things to students and how to manage classrooms that she was previously unaware of.
Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.
From this unit I have learnt about course development, and how to best design a syllabus. I also learnt how to test and evaluate students. I also learnt about different examinations that students may want to prepare for. I have also seen how to start a course with students.This Unit was challenging as expected. However I was able to understand the seven most common tenses that can be used with the future tense and how to use them. I will be revising this unit more than once, as it will be very helpful in the future for myself and my students.Unit one is about Teachers and learners. I an this unit I have learnt about:
1. Qualities of a good teacher;
2. Roles of a teacher;
3. Qualities of a good learner;
4. Categories of learners;
5. Levels of language ability and,
6. Why one would want to study another language.
