English Grammar - Present Continuous - Structure

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.

I really enjoyed this unit. I did not learn the phonetic alphabet in school but I must say, I found it really interesting and quite fun when learning it now. I feel it will help students a lot when they are learning pronunciation and I would enjoy teaching it quite a lot. This unit was very useful for me. I was unaware of the ESA format. This lesson gave me a lot of good activity ideas as well as taught me the difference between mistakes and errors. I will be sure to incorporate all that I learned from this lesson into my tutoring lessons. This is a good practical unit that teaches more about the logistics of teaching rather than the subject matter. I've learnt about: Teacher eye contact and bod langugage, class layouts, student grouping, classroom issues like writting on the white board, discipline and TTT
