English Grammar - Past Simple - Teaching Ideas - ESOL

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.

It is important to understand the different types of tenses in this unit. As a teacher we should be able to identify them. It is difficult to be able to learn the names of all the tenses, but at least be able to teach them and this way the students may use them properly.Put simply, this unit has provided a great view to lesson planing by which it gets easier to make use of ESA practically as hints and samples given.I am feeling like a well equipped one to cope with lesson timing from now on.I am thankful that I met up with this chapter.English grammar has always been my weak point. I have come to learn, in this unit, that grammar has a wide range of usage in English. As an aspiring teacher in English, it is necessary for me to learn and understand more on the grammatical system to teach with confidence
