This unit looks at evaluation in terms of not only testing but also tutorials and evaluation by students. It describes different types of tests and includes a sample placement test. I've used all of the types of internal tests described in the unit and have created many of my own. I've also proctored and scored the Michigan Test as an external test and used TOEFL practice questions in some of my classes. Yet I had no idea just how many external test of English existed. This was a revelation to me!
