This unit gives a list of the modal verbs and a chart of their forms and uses for present, future, and past tense. It also gives examples of usage and how it affects the meaning of the sentence. Next, we move onto passive and active voice. The unit gives a helpful chart of the form needed when converting an active verb to the passive voice. Clauses - dependent, independent, and relative are explained quite well in this unit. At the end, the student is introduced to phrasal verbs and the three forms for such verbs.
