Through this lesson I learned the types of these and the most applied proficiency exams today. The tests allow teachers to know at what level the student is and how far he can move forward with new subjects. Extra-class tests enable students who intend to live in the UK or apply for some job vacancy, there are others that allow students to access a university. Particularly I find it advantageous to carry out one of these tests before starting an EFL course which brings certain certainty to the student in knowing that he will be placed in a class according to his level, on the other hand I understand that the student can be stimulated to a level above him is, if the one already has an experience with the language but feels uncomfortable with tests.
