In this first unit of my course, I learnt the important points of being a teacher. I need to be kind and patient, loving teaching and also caring about my students. A teacher also need to be a teacher of multiple roles during a class. Being a manager to manage over the entire class; being an organizer to pair students up for activities; be an assessor to evaluated the students current English level and so on. A teacher need to be flexible between his roles, because during different period of a class your role will be different. But a class is not just dominated by a teacher students are also an essential part of the class. Teacher need to keep an close eye on the students about their learning experience, motivation, nervousness, language awareness and even behavior problems. Being a teacher is not easy for sure, but after this unit I believe i am one step closer to become an ESL teacher.
