In this unit, I learned a lot about the ways in which a teacher manages the classroom. I never realized the amount of behind the scenes work goes into the atmosphere of the classroom. There is a lot of thought that has to go into each and every aspect, such as how the class is arranged and how the teacher gives instructions. This chapter gave me a new appreciation for the teachers I've had in the past—especially the language teachers. This chapter has given me a lot of insight on how engage my students through the classroom itself.
