In my teaching experience, grammar is one of the areas of the English language that is quite difficult for me to teach and for my students to comprehend and remember by heart.
This unit refreshes what I already know about grammatical forms used in speaking and writing. Each of the topics and the video provided simple explanations that build on my previous knowledge about the different parts of speech. Some of the explanations clarified topics that I find tricky like the difference between a possessive pronoun and a possessive adjective as well as the sequencing of multiple adjectives and adverbs in a sentence. The list of irregular verbs is a good reference for me to remember the forms of a few verbs that I have already forgotten.
Lastly, I have also learned new key points like how some words take double letter spellings when their forms are changed (thin, thinner; sad, sadder) and where adverbs are usually placed in a sentence.
