The unit focuses on the qualities and responsibilities of teachers and learners in a language classroom. I have learned pretty much a good deal about the different roles and responsibilities a teacher takes in different stages of a lesson. The ability to take on appropriate roles in class is important for establishing class rapport and maintaining a positive and effective learning environment in the classroom.
It's good to be aware of the differences between young learners and adults so teachers know how to address the learners' specific learning styles and needs that could affect the success of the learners.
It's also a great deal to know about the level of a learner and their motivation which are necessary in the lesson planning process and to effectively influence each individual to be a better learner of language.
