Unit 17 described the equipment and teaching aids used by teachers in their lessons. The main idea I got from this unit it that the most important thing for a teacher is to know how to use the equipment in the classroom. That way the teacher is prepared well, knows how to fix the equipment quickly if it causes issues or has a back-up plan in case it doesn’t work so the lesson is not interrupted and time is not wasted. There are a lot of outdated devices that have been replaced by smartphones, however, the unit introduced them anyway as not every school has the newest equipment. There are a lot of links for resources that I found very useful for myself.
