This unit offers different options of materials to be used for learning and teaching purposes throughout the classroom. It explains the benefits and disadvantages of many of these aids and at what stages each is appropriate or unacceptable during the lesson. I learned why some aids are no longer being used and why others have become more effective. For example, that fact that many students have phones could potentially be useful for interactive lessons featuring interviews or surveys, because neither I nor students would have to purchase or carry around bulky cameras.
