This unit explains the purpose of using workbooks within the classroom. It tells us how important it is to not become reliant on the books for our lessons. This would disinterest students and also decrease talk time where learners could be practicing pronunciation and listening skills. It offers suggestions on which materials would be the most helpful in class and why. I learned that bringing in some authentic materials will make the language seem more obtainable and real. Students would be able to understand how English is used and what ways they could creatively involve it within their lives.
