This unit focuses on teaching students pronunciation and phonology. the first part of this lesson focuses on the intonation of a statement and I found it very helpful to see the visuals written on example statements indicating the rise and fall of the sentence. I really liked the provided example techniques for teaching intonation as this is a hard concept to teach to someone else when it comes naturally to a native english speaker. The stress of words and syllables was also reviewed along with provided examples. Another major theme discussed was sound joining. A phonemic symbol chart was provided which I found to be one of the most beneficial parts of this lesson as it is a nice quick reference to have. Articulation was reviewed along with a diagram of the mouth/throat.
