Unit 17 covers the various teaching tools that can be utilized in the classroom to enhance and execute lesson plans. As with many professions it is imperative to select the right tool for the right job to perform the task at hand. I have had the opportunity to see an interactive whiteboard used in the classroom twice, and while it seemed simple to use this lesson helped to point that they were more complicated than they appeared. With this in mind it will be beneficial for me to perform more research into how these devices work so if I ever find myself in a classroom that uses them I will be more familiar with them. The pages of available online resources is greatly appreciated since this will save hours of independent research and allow me to reference these resources directly to find material to include in future lesson plans.
