When reporting what other people say, the grammar used in this different conversation changes slightly. Forms originally used are switched to the past, resulting in students having to train their ears to detect these differences. If Amanda says, "I have done..." then this turns into "Amanda says she has done...". This unit helps less with accuracy and more with fluency and would be very influential to students if they practiced conversations with these rules of grammar.
