In this unit I learned about evaluating students, placement tests, progress tests, diagnostic tests, practice tests, and external examinations. Although I had heard about placement tests, progress tests, diagnostic tests, and practice tests as I advanced as a student in school, I had not heard of external testing until recently, when I made friends from Japan and they told me they were studying for them.
This unit helped me understand better about external testing, and what students might expect in those tests. As an English language teacher, I want to help my students learn the best English possible. That way, if any of my students are preparing themselves for any type of external testing, they are able to take it and pass it with as much ease as possible. For that, I also want to make good practice tests for them during my lessons.
