This unit focuses on the materials used to teach a lesson, more specifically in narrows in on Books and Materials in particular. In the very beginning of the unit it is established that there are two forms of materials that can be used, the first is “Authentic materials” and the second is “Created materials”. The latter is material that the teacher creates themselves to supplement or replace materials from a course books. The unit concludes with a course books, and how to best select them for the most appropriate use in the classroom and for the benefit of the level of students that you are teaching.
