I learned from unit 8 that the future tenses can be the most complicated to teach not only because there are so man ways to express the future, but because even the present simple and and present continuous tenses can be used to describe something that will happen by pointing out the time in the future when the event will occur, such as with "I am seeing my friend later this afternoon." There is also future simple, future continuous, future perfect, future perfect continuous, and be going + infinitive. To practice them all, my students can do activities that involve predicting the future like palm reading and they can create plans for what they would do in certain situations like going on vacation, or they can roll play discussing when and where a bus makes its stops.
