This unit goes over Receptive skills and the importance of how a teacher conveys information to their students. It broke down the specialist skills that come naturally to a native speaker, but is something to keep in mind when teaching students a new language. This was probably the most important part of the unit for me since it brings up the idea to have practice situations with skills such as skimming and deduction from context. Even though they are not deep dives into vocabulary, they help the student understand a greater context of the language.
