This lesson was extremely helpful because I'm currently in the process of teaching specific grammar points in my weekly adult ESL class. I've had many predecessor before me who didn't spend time peparing for the class and just told stories or let the students talk without correcting them at all. I want this class to help the students and also help my improve my teaching skills. I've been making a variety of printouts and worksheets, but this unit has helped me understand how to better structure the overall lesson. Last night's lesson was okay, but not as well as I wanted it to. Now I understand that I jumped into the "study" part of the lesson first without truly engaging the students. I was wondering what I did wrong in the beginning of the class, and this unit gave me a clear understanding of that.
