This unit was a very good one in that it showed the importance to keep your lessons varied in order to have a balance with the use of authentic materials, created materials and the use of course books. The disadvantages of the use of course books really struck a chord with me because I have experienced that a lot in my time as a learner. I hope to become a teacher that is able to always have a balance with my lessons and materials use in order to keep my students interested and to avoid becoming a lazy teacher.
