This unit was about what to consider when using native English resources, created materials and course textbooks in the classroom. Each has their own pros and cons. Authentic materials are usually more interesting, but it can be difficult to match them to the students` levels. If you use your own materials, the content can seem stiff and staged, but it is easy to match them to students` English abilities. Finally, course textbooks are for a much wider audience than most classrooms, but they let students have a clear picture of what kinds of things they will be learning.
