This Unit defines the types of tests and frequency at which each test is given in order to organize the students levels and address them and classify students accordingly. this helps teacher identify student language levels as well as knowledge they retain verses knowledge forgotten. I too believe and as stated in the Unit that the tests are sometimes measure of memory and not actual knowledge. Many highly intelligent and knowledgeable students don't have sharp memories.
