This Unit served two purposes, first in teaching about different parts of language and when they are appropriate to use and secondly as a refresher about the ESA structure of lesson planning. The lesson showed that certain parts of speech need to be understood before moving onto other and that the way the lesson plan is structured depends upon what the students already know or don't know. For example you can't engage students by asking them to create a role-play cooking show without teaching them the vocabulary they will need to use.
