Unit 8
I found unit eight to be both interesting and a little confusing. Not in the way it was written but being able to understand all the uses for the future tenses. The first four future tenses are rather straight forward. The fifth ‘be going + infinitive’ is also easy to identify based on sentence structure. The sixth and seventh forms are where I got a little confused. It seems to me that we almost need another name for the tenses. Present simple with future meaning and present continuous with future meaning is a bit bizarre. However, what I found in reading the example sentences used in unit eight is that when we use the present simple and present continuous for a future tense application the only thing that changes the sentence from a present to a future tense, is the use of an adverbs - e.g. in, by, later, tomorrow, etc.
