What I learnt in this Unit that there are instances within English Grammar where ‘Conditionals’ sets the frame in the construct of a sentence within certain scenarios and time periods. For example, there are conditions where the use of certain words are better used when discussing a ‘real’ situation in the Future that is possible such as “Will”, “May”, “Might” etc (First Conditional), that communicates a present or future ‘unreal’ hypothetical situation (Second Conditional) or refers to a hypothetical past action i.e. “If I had...” etc (Third Conditional) and then there is the mixed which is a combination of the latter two. Rounding up what is and what does not constitute Reported Speech, and the above is an excellent unit where I learnt something new and will be able to put to practical use in teaching English to Foreign students.
