In this unit we reviewed the Perfect tense. We went over Past Simple, Past Continuous, Past Perfect, and Past Perfect Continuous forms. In regards to teaching, I believe that interaction and letting the students practice and hear the past tenses would be the most helpful, since that is how we learn the language as children. Especially with irregular forms of perfect verbs, which can be potentially very confusing for students and even deter a student's motivation to learn English.
