Differences in age: The remarks made about how a younger learner will behave in contract with an adult student I've the teacher a better understanding of what teaching materials or plans would work better with the group of students.
Motivation: This has given me the idea to ask students what their motivation is, and build on it. I do think that maybe it would be helpful to have a chart or comparison of what will motivate each age group, and examples of what would not work with each group.
Learning teachers know that have to "ensure that lessons are enjoyable, interesting, varied and useful in order to maintain or build that motivation" but the difficult part is to actually come up with ideas to keep the class engaged. While that is our job, it would be helpful to have an idea of what wouldn't work.
