In this lesson, the various past tenses were explained as well as examples and troubleshooting advice. I found myself experiencing the same frustrations that I experienced when reviewing the present tense. I feel as though when teaching this particular lesson, it will be imperative for a prospective teacher to employ a patchwork ESA lesson plan. This will allow the students to not get bogged down in the dense material that can be particularly difficult for those that are learning English as a second language. Breaking up a dense lesson such as tenses will also keep the students from getting overly frustrated. Even as a native English speaker, I can certainly see where it could immediately be problematic.
