In Lesson number nine we discussed the importance of lesson planning and techniques to aid the teacher in doing so. Some of the important factors are to keep it simple so you one can look back it during a lesson, be organized, keeping an organized lesson plan will ensure that the learner objective is met. I think the three most important parts of a lesson plan are: learner objective, what it is that you want the student to learn, personal aims, which ensures that you will continue to improve as a teacher, and the language point is the theme of the lesson and what it is that you are trying to teach. The take home message from lesson planning is that every day and every classroom will be different so it is important to be flexible, yet organized and to have a set goal you would like the class to achieve at the end of a lesson. Using the principles of ESA is a great guideline for scripting lessons.
