Through the two different videos, this section emphasizes the importance of a teacher's attitude. If a teacher speaks slowly, deliberately, and is fully engaged then students will respond eagerly. Likewise, if a teacher is clearly distracted and has not prepared for the lesson, the students will sense this and will respond with lower levels of engagement. Teachers should also check for comprehension of the lesson before diving into individual or group work and monitor loosely as students work in group.
