Unit Four focuses on tenses such as present simple and present perfect continuous tense. It points out what are the common usages for each of the tenses, as well as the fact that many usages do not follow rules, they just need to be memorized. They come more naturally to native English speakers and can tend to really confuse L2 English learners. There are myriad ways that we as teachers can help activate (the third essential stage in our teaching system, ESA) students in practicing their tenses, even by playing the US song Still Haven't Found What I'm looking For! We can also stage a job interview where the students say what they "have done" the longest.
