This unit effectively outlined the different roles of the teacher and learner. It has helped me to reflect on the various skills which I will need to adopt with learners of different ages and abilities. I think it is particularly important to always take into account the learner's motives and try to build on that during class as this will ultimately be what encourages the learner to improve their English.
