Present tense was the focus of this unit, especially with regard to its form, usage, typical errors of students, and ideas for the activate stage of lessons. Form is usually straightforward, a formula students need to memorize. However, there is a lot to memorize and there also are a lot of exceptions. There are many usages to consider with each grammar point. Typical errors students make is forgetting grammar formula, word order and choosing the right form. I particularly found the present perfect grammar activities useful, because I have found it really difficult to teach this grammar point to students.
