Through this unit I have learned the proper grammar for conditionals and reported speech. Although already familiar to me, I have never realized before what they were until now. Conditionals are the usage of the word if/when when stating the condition that must be satisfied before the main clause can come true. Sometimes though, there are zero conditionals when referring to facts that are irrefutable. Reported speech are sentences which recite what one person said to the other, then told to a third person. Unfortunately, when teaching reported speech many potential mistakes may arise. The sheer number of changes made with verb tenses, pronouns, questions, etc. can make students very confused, so it is recommend that when teaching this teachers take it slow. Thank you ITTT!
