I've learnt the different roles a teacher will take on during the career, as well as which features a good learner is characterized by. When it comes to the learner I've been given advice on how to create a breeding ground for motivation and how to encourage the learners to be good ones. It's also important to be aware of what the student brings to the classroom from before (such as culture, experience coming with age and self-esteem).
