Productive Skills include speaking and writing. Unit twelve disscusses general concepts on how to teach them. Speaking and writing are both ways to communicate but must be approached differently when teaching.
When teaching speaking, both accuracy and fluency have to be addressed, where as with writing, handwriting, layout, punctuation and using words creatively are goals for students. Both however, must have activities that hold the students interest and attention to encourage communication.
