In this unit I've learnt when to apply which conditional, as well as the different tenses. This unit basically focused on how to report direct speech. (Present simple - past simple. will- would. past perfect - past perfect. past continuous - past perfect continuous.) Something important to remember when it comes to reporting speech, is that we are not quoting the exact words spoken, therefore you never quote when reporting speech. Quotations are only used, when it is direct speech. Teaching ideas for reported speech include media interviews, reporting verbs, as well as intermediaries. This unit is quite challenging, but as stated, it can only get better if taken one step at a time.
