During lesson ten I watched two radically different videos of live action teaching. In video number one it showed a teacher who was blunt, non-engaging, rude, used no and don't and wrong too often, and was completely unorganized. In lesson one the teacher began teaching a lesson before anyone understood what was happening and he jumped from idea to idea. In lesson number two the teacher was friendly, he introduced himself and went around the room to each individual student and asked their name. He was organized he stayed focused on his lesson plan and I believe used the straight arrow technique of Engage, Study, Activate, though I am sometimes unclear between the difference between engage and activate in this particular lesson. It seemed like the class discussion was engage and activate stage most of the time. He elicited vocal by use of the board and probed the students on fill in the blank.
