This unit discussed the different types of equipment, materials, and teaching aids we can use to teach the English language. As a language teacher, you have to maximize the use and effectiveness of each teaching equipment or material. Teachers are different from each other so the use of these equipment is still based on what the teacher know about his/her class and their level in learning the English language. These equipment must be used efficiently and effectively to have a successful language learning class. If there will be three equipment I can use for the rest of my life to teach a language, it would be the worksheet – because I can just create my own or make supplementary materials to ones that already exist, the computer – because technology today provides us with a lot of information via the internet, and the photocopier – because it is needed to reproduce materials that students can use.
