Unit 5 i.e. Managing class explains about the ideas for classroom management such as Eye-contact, the voice and gestures, ways to group students, arrangement of classroom, TTT and STT, about rapport buliding and so on. It talks about the technique that are helpful to maintain the discipline and learning environment of the class.
From this unit, i was able to grasp knowledge about the delivery skills such as eye-contact, gestures and intensity of voice. Also, i came to know about the arrangements of class (like how it should be according to number of students).I was also able to know the techniques on giving feedbacks and most importantly, this text gave me insight on maintaining discipline in class, which was the topic of my curiosity.
