In this fine Unit, we learn about the different types of classroom equipment that will most likely be available for us, from a white board or chalkboard, to overhead projector and desktop computer. Pre-produced exercises can be taught from pre-printed and laminated sheets, but there are times when technology has slowed the lessons down. It becomes the focus, rather than the class content. This has been the problem historically with IWBs (Interactive Whiteboards). It takes a lot to get a lesson ready for them and then tech know-how to run the contraption. Students will zone out if we are taking too long, and be equally distracted if it's too stimulating (bright shiny objects). There are tons of resources available to us online that we can show online or print, laminate and use over and over.
