I keep thinking is really a major advantage when teaching a multilingual class if the students have no common language other than English. Basically, it forces them to use the English language even though their level might not be enough yet to express their thoughts. Another common thing here is, should a teacher make students more comfortable by using their native language? What if a teacher is not able to speak their language at all? These two things are unbalanced, to be honest.
