In this unit, I learned about lesson planning. Lesson plans should be flexible, therefore, it only acts as an aid to planning on what the teacher expects the students to achieve by the end of a lesson, a working document to help the teacher keep on target and gives them something to refer to during the lesson, and a record of what a class has done and which materials have been used. Lesson plans should be simple, structured, flexible and open to adaptation, unscripted, timed, and balanced. Learner's objectives, teacher's personal aims, language point, teaching aids, anticipated problems with corresponding solutions, procedures, phase, timing, interaction, class level, number of students, etc. should all be included in a lesson plan. The teacher also needs to monitor the quality of their lessons to improve their skills and make their classes as enjoyable as possible by evaluation their lesson's strengths and weaknesses, effectiveness of the ESA, accuracy of the lesson, and areas that need improvement.
