In this unit we learned which are the parts of speech: Nouns, verbs, adverbs, adjectives, conjunctions, prepositions, articles, gerunds and pronouns. We learned the different types of each part and what is the correct use. It is quite an extensive unit which requires understanding and memorizing rules or irregular forms.
For non native speakers like myself, it was good to review all this topics that we have been taught a long time ago when studying english at the Institute. I find it a little bit surprising that native speakers might not be taught some grammar rules at school (accorrding to what it says ta the beginning of the unit). For spanish speakers, rules are taught in primary school as well as in high school. But even though we learn them, we wouldn´t be able to explain them or teach them unless we study them again. So even if grammar was taught at school, it is really necessary to review all the contents in order to teach the language.
