Here Below you can check out the feedback (for one of our units) of one of the 16.000 students that last year took an online course with ITTT!

In this study unit we viewed two different lesson presentations on the same lesson with the same students. The purpose of this was to identify which lesson was the most successful and which one was not; thus identifying teaching errors and mistakes, teaching style, lesson plan structure, teacher preparedness, students level of participation, and the outcome of lesson objectives. It is clear from that start that lesson one is the 'bad' lesson - the teacher is late for the class, does not introducing himself or individually acknowledging the students. There are many teaching errors in lesson one, however two of the most important differences between lesson one and lesson two is the teachers attitude and preparedness. These two factors alone greatly affect the success of the lesson and the students involvement. In the second lesson the teachers demeanour is completely different then in the first lesson. He is friendly, positive, encouraging, prepared and approachable. This inviting atmosphere that he has created makes the students feel comfortable and able to take part in the lesson. Also the teacher does not criticise the students answers as in lesson one, which can put the students off and prevent them from taking part in the lesson. The teacher also acknowledges each student individually in the second lesson which establishes a great rapport with the class. In this second lesson the teacher is better prepared for the lesson and therefore the lesson runs more smoothly, there are no awkward pauses or confusing on the teacher or students behalf. We also notice in the second lesson that the teacher makes use of language that is appropriate and in accordance with the students language level of understanding. The teacher also effectively utilises the Boomerang ESA lesson plan structure as appose to lesson one where there is no clear direction in the lesson. At the end of both demonstrations we notice that the learning objectives are successfully met in lesson two, as appose to lesson one. This is again affected by the teachers preparedness, demeanour and teaching skills.
